The Dark Side of Parkinson's

My name is René Zárate, and I was born and raised in Viña del Mar, Chile. From a young age, I have been passionate about sports (especially tennis and soccer) as well as hobbies that connect me to life and creativity, such as cycling and cooking. I am the eldest of three siblings, and throughout my life, I have had the privilege of being a father, son, uncle, friend, and now a grandfather. In each of these roles I have always sought to enjoy good food, cultivate good custom, and share with others. A lover of philosophy and the arts, I draw inspiration from figures such as Alejandro Jodorowsky, Gabriela Mistral, Pablo Neruda, Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara, and Isabel Allende, whose works have shaped my cultural and spiritual sensibility. My parents, Agustín Zárate and Elvira Vargas, were my first and greatest teachers. Academically, I studied Sales and Marketing Management at the University of Viña del Mar. I also hold deep appreciation for my secondary education at Liceo José Cortés Brown and Liceo José Francisco Vergara, where I had the honor of serving as President of the Student Council.
